Elle Decor and Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 RTW - seriously do I need to walk you through this one?
I mean come on now… it does not get better then this.
Oscar at New York Fashion Week and Elle Decor together have made my Fall 2012 elegant and pretty in blue.
StylePair perfection. Enough said. Thank you Elle Decor and thank you Oscar.
Altuzarra Fall 2012 RTW in green velour.
Next to Rue Magazine as a StylePair - I could die.
A perfect StylePair out of New York Fashion Week.
Rue Magazine and Altuzarra let’s walk through this one…
Green velour jacket to green velour couch. Fur at waist line with the sheep. Patterns of skirt with ottoman. Patterns on shirt with the rug. Black to black.
Enough said.
Porter Grey another show I attended at NYFW and as I have tweeted - if you don’t know Porter Grey yet - get to know them. Like now.
Founded by sisters, Alexandra and Kristen O’Neill, Porter Grey creates American contemporary sportswear. Their collections so far, (second season), are so me they make me want to scream. Actually, I almost did just that when I saw their Fall 2012 collection in person at New York Fashion Week. This look above was the look that actually made me scream… with delight.
The Porter Grey Fall 2012 RTW look paired to an Elle Decor bedroom is just as delightful.
Now this is not an exact StylePair match but Porter Grey and Elle Decor just feel like they match. Everything about this bedroom screams Porter Grey - leathers, dark colors with crisp whites and last but not least tailored perfection.
I would take Porter Grey in my closet or in my home any day of the week. How about you?
More of our coverage from New York Fall 2012 Fashion Week… this time a StylePair from the fabulous and spectacular Jason Wu show. Really what else is there to say - this was the show of my lifetime.
PS - I think you can see my foot in the top right of this shot! I was sitting right next to the red door in row one!
House Beautiful makes grey look like color. Or makes grey look like Jason Wu. This all grey room with a pop of red is all Jason Wu Fall 2012 RTW to me!
Honestly, I have never been a fan of grey in the home. I know grey is trendy and in but to me grey is just grey. House Beautiful makes me think differently. I like this all grey room and next to Jason Wu - I love it.
Grey with a hint of red - a Fall 2012 StylePair from the Jason Wu show. And with House Beautiful - heaven.
Our very extensive Fashion + Decor coverage of fashion weeks starts now with Herve Leger. I am kicking off our fashion week coverage by showcasing StylePair collections from designers whose shows we were lucky enough to attend!
Herve Leger was one of those shows and it was spectacular. I loved this look in red, black and gold - a color combination that may be viewed as too aggressive for the home but Lonny Magazine will quickly make you disagree…
This bathroom is anything but aggressive. Lonny proves red, black and gold in the home can actually by quite calming.
And this bathroom is also all Herve Leger Fall 2012 RTW to me. The gold lines on the Herve Leger dress with the gold frames and hardware in the bathroom are simply elegant mixed in with red and black accents.
Herve Leger and Lonny Magazine are just the start of exciting StylePair collections to come from the Fall 2012 RTW shows!
So where was I last week? In New York City with the fabulous team from Brizo Faucets. As I mentioned a couple weeks back, Brizo hosted a few very lucky (myself included) bloggers for an all expenses paid three days in New York for Fashion Week.
And lets just say that I would redo these three days like Groundhog day if they would let me. Outside of meeting some wonderful new friends, I also learned how to make homemade pasta (thanks to a cooking class at Sur La Table), had limo service everywhere, sat front row at Jason Wu’s Fall 2012 RTW show and then attended a private cocktail party with Jason Wu himself!
Now get why I want to redo this event? And you haven’t even heard to real fun stuff yet…
Jason Wu Spring 2010 RTW and Brizo’s Pascal kitchen faucet. Yellow and gray. Green shoes with green stems on peppers. Jason Wu and Brizo you are a perfect match.
So honestly as someone whom loves fashion it would be hard to top sitting front row at Jason Wu’s show… But let me just tell you about one other part of the Brizo event that I truly loved.
As you see above, Brizo makes fashion inspired faucets, thus their relationship with Jason Wu. I adore their products and you can imagine why. Fashion forward decor products is everything right in home decor to me.
So what I also really enjoyed about this event was the focus group sessions Brizo held with us. This was where Brizo showcased new products (still in R&D) and got our feedback on their designs. This was heaven for me! Loved offering my fashion insight into up and coming products from Brizo. It was totally amazing - like all other aspects of this fabulous trip!
For behind the scenes photos from this event - check out Fashion + Decor + Blog.
So one more post before we get back to our Fashion + Decor contributor interviews! This post is a MUST.
Going to try and not explode comments like love, I am dying, fabulous, and LOVE all over this post but it may just have to happen. Sorry, this news is too big to not use my favorite go to phrases… I have been invited by the fabulous (see already started) company Brizo to attend New York Fashion Week next month! Brizo is a premium faucet brand that promises distinctive design, inventive faucets and accessories that make a fashion statement in the home.
Fashion inspired home decor products? Really? Brizo couldn’t be any closer to my brand if they paid me. And no they are not paying me. Not yet :-)
Going to kick off my New York Fashion Week coverage with the Tory Burch Spring 2012 show in red and white stripes. So impressed with Tory Burch Spring 2012 collection - lots of red white and blue and if you know anything about me this color way is a MUST in my home and wardrobe.
Love this look especially with its vintage, comfortable feel. This look would be perfect transformed into a bedroom. Don’t you think?
